Shinjuku Nomura Bldg (新宿野村ビル店)

Enjoyed an early hanami with my sister at Starbucks.
So many Sakura sweets to choose from!

Sakura Chiffon Cake

Sakura Cheesecake
(Don't you love the sakura-on-whipcream combination?)

This was SO GOOD!
At first I wasn't too keen on trying it. It looked like pink tofu to me.
But Sarah from StarbucksinJapan said it went well with coffee...
so I tried it. And LOVED IT!
I thought that the salted sakura leaf on top
really went well with the cheesecake.

Tokorozawa Station Bldg (所沢ステーションビル店)

Sachertorte
(Starbucks Japan recommends this as a food pairing for Caffe Verona)

Sooo good!!!

The store was really crowded.
This is actually just a makeshift store.
Tokorozawa Stn is undergoing major renovations so
the store will be here until the construction is complete in 2012.

This is the signboard outside saying that
they will wrap any merchandise for Valentine's Day!

Sakura Latte (さくらラテ)

I was at my local Starbucks when a barista came around
to give us samples of the new spring drink.
Sakura Latte.
(i.e. cherry blossom latte)

Sakura Latte is part of Starbucks Japan's
2011 Sakura Series,
which starts on February 15.

The barista asked us to write our opinion of the drink
on a small sakura petal-shaped paper.
(wonder what their going to do with it...)

Sometimes I wish I had better handwriting.

Lumine Shinjuku (ルミネ新宿店)

It's always packed here...but I really like this Starbucks.
It's next to a bookstore so I just browse until a seat opens.
